Last weeks blogs and media outlets went crazy about Oprah leaving daytime TV. An announcement went out that Oprah will be filming her final show in September 2011. She would have ran for 25 years. Well the big O is not retiring. She is about to dabble more in film. Working on 'Precious', O discovered a new love and wants to do this for a while before she finally retires. Oprah was only an executive producer for 'Precious', she wants to be more hands on. So be on the lookout for her films. (can we get a 'The Color Purple 2'?)

Lil' Wayne's new documentary The Carter takes a look inside the private world of the World's Greatest Rapper alive..so he says. You will get a chance to see a side of Weezy F Baby that you have never seen before, and please believe he doesn't hold back. If your a fan of Hip Hop and Lil' Wayne you should most def check this out.

Rumor Has It:Fantasia Edition

In Tha Know Yo has caught wind that Fantasia is a homewrecker! I'm gonna see if I can make a long story short. Fanny Mae went to a Sprint store in N.C. to get a new phone. She ended up leaving with a new number and it wasn't hers. Antwaun Cook lead sales rep in the store exchanged number with Fantasia. They later hooked up and now they are a couple. Oh, did I fail to mention that Antwaun is married with 2 young boys. Since hooking up with Fanny, Antwaun has since left his wife and moved in with the singer. I'm not sure if him and his wife have divorced or just separated but whatever the case, this story is sad. Cook joined Fanny at the Soul Train Music awards a couple weeks ago were she showed off her new 'Cook' tattoo. Antwaun has one just like it on his arm. Hum, I wonder will it last?

All I can really say is that with this album I could totally feel what she was going through. I could feel her emotions through these songs. Some people didn't understand 'Russian Roulette'. It wasn't the Rihanna they were used to. This Rihanna was dark and sadden. This was not the same Rihanna who had us clowin' in the club to 'Please Don't Stop The Music'. This was a more mature Rihanna. It shouldn't have came as a surprise, people knew to expect a more darker and edgy Riri. 'Russian Roulette' was the perfect single to come out on. It says two things...#1) This is edgy, more of what I'm feeling at the moment. & #2) GROWTH.

The second single 'Hard' featuring Young Jezzy is tha business! It's classic Rihanna. She's letting everybody know that she is doing her and worried about what anybody has to say. She really did her thang with this track. It was co-produced by The Dream and Tricky.

An unmastered copy of "Wait Your Turn" leaked on the Internet weeks ago. The album version sounds alot better because it is mixed and mastered unlike the version floating around the net.

Rihanna's album is one that you must cop if you love her music. She had a slew of talented writers to lend a helping hand to this project like Justin Timberlake,Ne-Yo,Drake and The Dream. She really delivers and will leave you wanting more. Her collaboration with Slash is crazy as well as the song 'Photographs' with Will.i.Am. For some reason when I think of Rihanna and this album I think of her as a black Joan Jett. If you don't know who Joan Jett is, google her. Rihanna is bad ass and so is this album!

I will say that the artwork for the singles is a little risque, but hey this is Rihanna we are talking about. She's the black Madonna!

Glamour magazine has named Rihanna 'Woman Of The Year' in a special ceremony at Carnegie Hall. She looked graceful in a beautiful Chanel number. She was honored as the 'Back On Top Superstar'. Rihanna was very humble to receive the honor.

Rihanna was back in the city to promote her new album 'Rated R'. She stopped by MTVstudios to do 'It's On With Alexa Chung'. She also sat down with Sway to talk about a few things. Riri looked fab as ever and didn't mind working it for the camera. Go Riri!!
